BARBARIAN BAKUGOU
FROM
My Hero Academia
DESCRIPTION
When I saw the Fantasy AU ending to My Hero Academia, I knew I wanted to cosplay the barbarian version of Bakugou.

I enlisted the help of my friends Ashley (@anlemus) and Tiffanie (@tiffsewcrafty) for the cape and jewelry, as sewing was (and still isn't) not my forte. Ashley created the necklaces by carefully curating the right beads and hand painting them to get the right color. Tiffanie provided the pattern for the cape with fur attachment. We struggled with sewing the fur to the fabric of the cape (the same material I used for my Warhammer Wych) but won out in the end. Then I started the weathering process by cutting, singeing, and painting the ends of the cape and other sections for a dirty, worn look. Weathering the cape was really fun; I loved being able to get creative and play!
I made the arm pieces by cutting the sleeves off of a shirt and hand painting the symbols on after sewing them to fit my arms. The attachments to the cape were rather hastily made out of thin foam and paint; I wanted to redo them for another time but never got to it. I also began making the pieces for his shoulder and elbow, but did not complete them in time.
